Clever discs of midnight blue art glass imbedded with murinni stars and moons dangle from .925 sterling chains hand wired to .925 sterling post earrings.
Murinni means each little shape is made first then incorporated into the larger piece. The glass artist first fires thin rods of glass together and then slices them like bread. When the slices are viewed from the flat side, they look like stars, moons, flowers, fish, whatever the artist comes up with. Each little murinni is melted into the blue glass circles and the whole thing is then annealed for durability.
These earrings dangle about 1 ½ ” from the post for the pierced earlobe.
The discs are very lightweight and translucent. The subtlety of the design in the glass won’t fight with any patterned clothing.
